After two months in my new position as editor and with the experience of editing two issues of SA Instrumentation & Control under my belt, I have reached the point where putting my first issue of Motion Control together was a breeze, well almost. I am starting to settle into the publishing environment, that only two short months ago, was totally foreign to me. In my continuous endeavour to overcome the steep learning curve, I am fortunate to have the encouragement, support and guidance of a world-class publishing team.
I am so excited about this opportunity to be in a new career in publishing and to join the Technews family. I feel honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility of editing such a successful and industry-respected publication. It will be a great challenge to maintain this success at its current level as well as to grow our readership and revenue in the future. I am looking forward to a long, fulfilling and successful career at Technews, and I anticipate bringing you a publication that continues to be a respected source of information as well as being a fun and entertaining read.
I thoroughly enjoyed putting this Third Quarter issue together and hope you enjoy reading it as much as it was a delight for me to work on it. Being from a mechanical engineering background, I find the subject matter dealt with in this publication absolutely exhilarating and I look forward to bringing you more interesting, educational and perhaps even thought-provoking material in the future.
I welcome any comments or suggestions as to the types of articles or areas of interest that you would like to see in Motion Control in upcoming issues.
