SKF Xtra Power belts are designed to deliver up to 40% more power than standard wrapped belts. By replacing existing belts with SKF Xtra Power belts, the service life of applications can potentially be increased by up to 40%.
At first glance it might seem that they are just ordinary belts, but inside they exhibit extraordinary technology. Tension members are made of polyester to accommodate heavy tension loads with minimal elongation. A fibre filled compound above and below the tension members allows the belt to carry higher dynamic loads without compromising flexibility.
The cover fabric provides excellent wear and abrasion resistance while providing excellent bending strength. The belts are homogeneous and have coordinated integration of the belt, flank and pulley groove. They assist in reducing pulley groove wear due to the optimised cover fabric.
They are oil and heat resistant and have up to 97% drive efficiency. They offer one-shot tensions as there is no need to re-tension the belts after the initial run-in period. They have an improved smooth running behaviour, low vibration levels and good resistance to shock loads.
