Having experienced Parkinson’s disease first hand through interaction with a customer, Gary Petler of Alberton Hydraulics, Hydromobile is very aware of the trauma this debilitating condition can cause. The company has now initiated a campaign to create an awareness of Parkinson’s disease. The first initiative was to throw a Christmas party for the Parkinson’s support group in Alberton. Hydromobile also put together a team of over 60 cyclists who will take part in the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge under the Parkinson’s banner. The Sunward Slipstreamers will be wearing special T-shirts showing the Parkinson’s ‘tulip’ logo, which is the worldwide symbol of Parkinson’s disease. Hydromobile has also produced ‘tulip’ pins which will be given to interested people.
