Hansen Transmissions will be at Electra Mining 2006

Third Quarter 2006 News & events

Hansen Transmissions SA is a specialist in industrial gear technology and mechanical power transmission with a 37-year track record in the supply of large industrial drive packages to diverse South African industry, including mining, water treatment, materials handling and cooling tower industries.

The powerful Hansen P4 helical and bevel helical gearbox range is available in torque ratings from 6 to 800 kNm with power ratings up to 1800 kW. These meet typical drive applications for conveyors, elevators, mixers, fans, bucket wheel drives, ship loaders, travel drives and tripper drives.

Extensive tests have shown that the latest generation Hansen industrial gearboxes are some of the most silent in the industry with noise levels up to 7 dB(A) lower than those of other equivalent parallel gear units and up to 11 dB(A) lower in the case of right angle units.

Hansen Transmissions' skilled South African engineering team is responsible for the design of the I4 Invertible Gearbox as well as a self-aligning low speed rigid flange coupling for shaft mounted gearbox applications. This combination is ideal for conveyor applications and alleviates the past requirement of separate drives for left and right hand orientation on multiple drive conveyors. The company also supplys a comprehensive range of geared motors and elastic, flexible and fluid couplings.

Local industries reap the benefits of Hansen Transmissions International's modern technology and expertise, built on over 75 years experience in gear technology. The company has distinguished itself as a reliable partner to local industry. It supplies tailor-made, flexible, cost-effective and standardised power transmission solutions with a product range that features low cost of ownership and supported by fast, reliable, round-the-clock, on-site, after-sales service.

Visit Hansen Transmissions at Electra Mining 2006 in Hall 6, Stand C19, where a team of experts will be ready to tell visitors more about the company's quality products, local design expertise and services.
