"In the 10 years since its inception, Power Drives has become a leading player in its field, with turnover growing six-fold. Exclusive supply and representation agreements with the world's leading manufacturers of premium branded products ensure a stable and reliable trading base," says Arnold Goldstone, CEO of Invicta Holdings, Bearing Man's holding company. "As part of this expansion programme, Power Drives will be split into two specialist divisions to ensure customer service keeps pace with growth."
Dave Russell, who has been at the helm of Power Drives since its inception in 1996, is handing control to Cliftin Bower and Mark Barbour, who will head the newly created gear and electric motor divisions. Dave is turning his major focus outside of the industry, but will remain available to Power Drives on a consultancy basis.
Cliftin and Mark, who joined Bearing Man as part of the company's trainee programme in 1994 and 1998 respectively, are currently completing MBAs.
