Pirtek Northern Cape is proud to announce the introduction of the first dedicated Pirtek mining service vehicle in South Africa. This new vehicle complements the current fleet of mobile service vehicles in the Northern Cape operating from Kathu, Postmasburg and Uppington. Pirtek currently has over 65 mobile service vehicles operating 24 hours a day from 20 service centres located around South Africa
The new mining dedicated vehicle was fabricated by TFM in Johannesburg to Pirtek design standards. It is designed to service all medium and large sized mining machinery. The vehicle is capable of manufacturing up to 5 cm, 6 wire hose assemblies operating up to 420 bar. The replacement assemblies can be made on site next to the mining machine when a hose failure occurs. This means that downtime on large mining machinery can be significantly reduced. The mining service vehicle will operate 24 hours, 7 days per week in the Northern Cape region. Some features of the new vehicle include:
• 5 cm, 6 wire crimper.
• Hydraulic hose cutoff saw.
• 40 V drop saw.
• Hose cleaning kit.
• High density storage system.
• Specialty tools.
All Pirtek service and supply centres are available to customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All after hours requirements can be actioned simply by phoning the business hours phone number.
