SICK Automation Southern Africa has relocated and is operating from Lanseria Corporate Estate, number 24 Eagle Lane, effective 4 September 2017. The new premises, five times larger than its current premises, are the result of organic expansion. Operating from Lanseria, a centralised location midway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, the new premises allow capacity for further enhancement of support levels, response times and services for the company’s customers and partners. The in-house training facilities will enable SICK to offer high quality in-depth training on the company’s extensive product range.
“SICK’s investment in this custom designed, state-of-the-art building is testimony to the company’s strong long-term commitment to its customers and partners in Africa,” says managing director, Luxy Moodley. “The new premises will help facilitate our commitment to Sensor Intelligence, which draws on all of SICK’s system expertise, supplemented by our experience in a variety of sectors,” she adds. “We combine our detailed application knowledge with reliable software architecture to optimally integrate our sensors into your system. This creates value for our customers.” She concludes that this new facility is a milestone for SICK and an important prerequisite for its next growth phase as the company continues to expand its footprint in the local and southern Africa markets, and follows on from the success that SICK has experienced in South Africa.
