Air motors with patented vane-exchange system

3rd Quarter 2015 Pneumatic systems & components

Featuring a particularly attractive price-to-performance ratio, Deprag’s Basic Line air motor with a power range from 200 W to 1,2 kW is a cost-effective option for uncomplicated production areas. This is due to the patented vane-exchange system where the vanes can be replaced on site in just a few movements without the need to disassemble the machine. This rapid change-out ability prevents lengthy downtime. The proven German technology is available locally from Dowson & Dobson Industrial, part of the Actum Group.

Air motors are particularly suited to use in potentially explosive environments. The Basic Line series has an independent ATEX testing certification for non-mining applications in the Zone 1 (gas or dusty atmosphere) category, and for Group IIC explosive materials. The Basic Line series can be operated in a temperature range from -20 to 110°C.

Deprag also has an Advanced Line range of sealed, oil-free operable and non-corrosive air motors with a power range from 20 W to 1,2 kW that offers high power output with the smallest possible installation area. In addition there is the Power Line range, which has a high start torque with an unmatched low weight and a power range of 1,6 to 18 kW. The Individual Line comprises efficient air motors that form part of a total customised solution. “Apart from air motors, we have also enjoyed success with screw-driving technology, as well as screw and part feeding,” says Herman Parsons, Deprag business manager at Dowson & Dobson Industrial.
