Genflex supports local industry demand
3rd Quarter 2013
News & events
Over the years, suppliers of hydraulic hose and fittings have attracted orders from other players in the hydraulic hose industry, especially in the mining, construction and transport industries, as well as through distributors. Genflex Hydraulics has noticed that more of its competitors are beginning to make up their shortages from Genflex. “We see this as an acceptance of the competitive prices that we have been offering over the last 20 years,” commented Tiaan du Preez, deputy managing director.
All of the major hydraulic hose assembly companies are watchful of the stock that they carry, especially in the difficult conditions prevailing, but Genflex carries over R20 million of stock. The company has three delivery vans operating from its main store in Alberton, servicing customers on a day-to-day basis.
“We believe that Genflex is unique in that it can offer personal and general servicing, quality, prompt delivery, good pricing and good stock availability. These all-important attributes are not always available from one source within the hydraulic hose industry,” he added.
Despite the downturn, Genflex continues to be extremely active in the marketplace, with sustained profitability and targets closely monitored. Tiaan concluded, “We are awaiting the next growth phase in our economy which will see us continuing with our branch development plans to accommodate the resulting higher demand for our products and services.”
