Hyfit supplies EWO pneumatics

4th Quarter 2010 Pneumatic systems & components

Hyfit Expertec has been appointed sole South African distributor for the German-based company EWO and now supplies EWO pneumatic equipment and fittings. EWO has been involved in the manufacture of compressed air products since 1914 and is well known for its range of pneumatic filters, regulators and lubricators. These come in the standard 10 bar range.

EWO also manufactures high pressure equipment which can handle up to 60 bar, a unique feature for compressed air systems. The units come with 5 cm (2 inch) BSP ports and some can be used with water. A major market for high pressure pneumatics is in the manufacture of PET plastic bottles where pressures are between 30 and 40 bar.

Hyfit is a distributor of hydraulic, pneumatic and airbrake equipment. The hydraulics range from DIN 2353 tube fittings to hydraulic hose. The pneumatics include a wide range of fittings and tubing. “We are very excited about our association with Hyfit,” says Oliver Reinl, director of sales for EWO.

Hyfit is currently looking for distributors countrywide.
