For thickness measurement on extruded or rolled film in plastics and rubber, the series FILMCONTROL 8100 is available with various measurement technologies. It is based on the principle of combination sensor systems and can be adapted most easily. Consequently, numerous types of materials and surfaces can be measured.
The series 8100 is designed for:
* Extruded and rolled film.
* Unvulcanised rubber.
* Foam materials.
Depending on the target application, combination sensor technologies may be eddy current + capacitance, eddy current + laser or eddy current + ball. All the methods feature high dynamic response and spatial resolution.
Temperature stability is achieved through online calibration and extensive Windows-based profile analysis software is available.
In contrast to radiation measurement methods using isotopes and X-ray radiation, the manufacturer’s claim that this system is better environmentally and offers substantially more economical process costs.
