The range of hydraulic valves available from Commercial Shearing is extensive. Here we feature information on a few. The company also supplies custom-designed components, valves for a high flow rate and add-on or integrated valves for pumps and accessories.
DVG80
The DVG80 is a sectional type directional control valve that is rated for an operating pressure up to 250 bar with flows up to 450 litres per minute. This model valve has proven itself over the years to offer excellent performance and reliable service.
The combination inlet/outlet casting has a high and low pressure port on both the top and side faces. The system relief valve is pilot operated and is screw adjustable. Mid-section inlets are offered as a split flow type, which combines the flow of one or more pumps, and a two-position selector type, which can be shifted to provide split flows in one position and a combined flow in the other. In the combined flow mode, flow from the second pump is directed to all working sections to give 2-speed operation.
Outlet covers can have high and low pressure ports on both the top and side. Internal coring allows a standard low-pressure outlet to be easily converted to a pressure beyond type. Outlet covers can also contain a relief valve.
All working sections are 3 inch (75 mm) wide allowing them to be ported up to 1¼ inch (32 mm) split flange or SAE 24. Relief valves with anti-cavitation checks are available for work sections. All work sections have parallel circuitry except for the fourth position float with tandem circuitry. The float section is available only with a hydraulic spool operator.
KA18
The KA18 spool type directional control valves for open and closed centre circuits are of sectional design for flexibility of circuit construction. Each section also incorporates a load hold check valve to prevent interaction between services. Up to nine sections can be banked in right hand and/or left hand and can be connected in tandem, parallel or series circuits.
The spool functions can be double acting, single acting or motor spool and action mechanisms can be spring return, 3-position detent, 3 position detent spool in or out or 2-position detent.
DVA20/DVG20
The DVA20 and DVG20 spool type directional control valves for open and closed centre circuits are of sectional design for flexibility of circuit construction. Each section also incorporates a load hold check valve to prevent interaction between services. Up to 10 sections can be banked in right hand and/or left hand and can be tandem, parallel or series circuit.
Integrated valves
Integrated with one heavy duty gear unit a broad range of flow controls exists. These include priority valves and unloading valves for tandem pumps, which allow engines used to drive a machine’s hydraulic system to be downsized while maintaining, or even improving work cycle efficiency.
MCD20 and MCD50 Series
The MCD20 and MCD50 Series are monoblock directional control valves with parallel circuits. The standard valve comes with an adjustable main relief valve, check valve and four mounting holes. The compact castings are made of high strength cast iron and the spools of hardened and tempered steel. The MCD20 has a nominal flow of 45 litres per minute with a maximum pressure of 210 bar and the MCD50 a nominal flow of 70 litres per minute with a maximum pressure of 210 bar.
MCD10 Series
The MCD10 Series are sectional directional control valves with parallel circuits. The standard valve comes with an adjustable main relief valve and check valve. The compact castings are made of high strength cast iron and the spools are made of hardened and tempered steel. The MCD10 can handle a nominal flow of 80 litres per minute with a maximum pressure of 210 bar.
