Field fits make for faster starts

Eaton's Series G range of moulded case circuit breakers (MCCBs) has been designed around the philosophy of restricting stockholding to a selection of basic units and accessories, enabling protection accessories to be purpose fitted in the field, helping to keep inventory levels down and limiting the risk of stock-outs.
Aptly named, the 'G' signifies global applications. These circuit breakers are marked with NEMA, IEC and KEMA KEUR listings and there are just five frame sizes covering ratings from 16 A to 2500 A. The MCCBs offer a choice of several interrupting capacities up to 100 kA at 480 V a.c. (200 kA at 240 V a.c.). The three smallest frame sizes, with ratings up to 630 A, cover all the most common needs and employ a universal family of plug-in accessories including alarm and auxiliary switches, shunt trips and under-voltage release units. Thermal-magnetic and electronic trip units are also available. The 250 A frame size, fitted with an electronic trip unit, is capable of covering the entire operating range from 20 A to 250 A.
