Kollmorgen Seidel launched its new range of servo motors. These motors can be driven by all of Danaher Motion's servo amplifiers. Seven flange sizes and a large number of winding options are available. Optional feedback systems provide maximum flexibility for machine design. Winding temperatures are monitored by PTC sensors as standard.
Compared with general servo motors, AKM motors have a higher power output for a given frame size. The motors have low inertia rotors for high dynamic performance and they exhibit very low cogging.
The standard version of feedback systems for these motors are 2-pole resolvers. Options are smart feedback device (SFD, the intelligent Danaher Motion Feedback), high-resolution EnDat encoder and Comcoder (in-cremental encoders with commutation track).
