Ana-Digi Systems recently launched the iSmart range of 'intelligent' relay controllers. The range consists of AC, 24 V d.c. and 12 V d.c. supplied units, with I/O ranging from 10 to 20 on the basic units, including two high speed inputs which can be used as counters, and a realtime clock.
Expansion modules allow an I/O count of up to 44, most of the base units have either two or four analog 0-10 V inputs as standard. Networking is also possible on Modbus, Devicenet, Profibus-DP and Ethernet via the appropriate expansion modules.
The units can be programmed either via an in-built keypad or via a PC by means of software that is provided free of charge. This package allows programming by either Ladder (800 instructions) or Function Block diagram (99 blocks). The built-in display can accommodate up to 15 screens of four lines of 12 characters. The software also provides on-line monitoring in both language modes for rapid fault recognition and diagnosis.
Output options are either transistor or 8 A relay. Input options cater for 85-265 V a.c. or 24 V d.c. All units carry a three year guarantee against faulty workmanship and components.
