EH steering valve for off-road vehicles
First Quarter 2005
Other technologies
Sauer-Danfoss is offering an electro-hydraulic valve for heavy off-road vehicles with a need for electrically controlled steering. This compact valve is cost-effective and allows for automatic steering operations - enhancing operator comfort and productivity. It is suitable for machinery controlled via joystick, mini steering wheel, row sensors or GPS technology.
Typical applications include combine harvesters, tractors, dumpers, and wheeled loaders. The EH valve uses existing PVG 32 valve technology. It can be used in-line, but is also easily fitted onto Sauer-Danfoss's load sensing OSPC or OSPF steering units making a compact, highly reliable combination that cuts down the number of necessary hoses and fittings. Analog or digital communication happens via an electric actuator mounted on the valve and advanced Sauer-Danfoss steering software - necessary for the digital solutions - enables manufacturers to design vehicle systems that suit specific customer needs. Steering flow for the new EH valve is 12, 20 or 40 litres per minute. Manufactured in Nordborg, Denmark, the new EH valve is one of the more recent additions to Sauer-Danfoss's comprehensive line of off-highway steering components that include steering units, priority valves, flow amplifiers, steering columns as well as a range of joysticks and micro-controllers. The valve is produced on a state-of-the-art assembly line and - to secure maximum quality - every finished product is submitted to thorough end-of-line tests.
