Hydromobile distributes a wide range of products. The company's products are used by many OEMs in the mining, forestry, transport, material handling, agricultural, and construction industries.
Hydromobile imports hydraulic motors and hydrostatic steering units from M & S Hydraulics in Bulgaria. The company has been importing from M & S Hydraulics for five years.
Its prices are competitive and with a wide variety of sizes and technical specifications these motors have many applications. (See below.)
Hydraulic motors
The main part of the motor consists of a firmly clamped displacement ring with seven rollers inside and a moveable gear with six outer teeth. By applying a pressure to the teeth chambers, the gearwheel is made to rotate around the gear tip. The two motions are in opposite directions. Due to the tooth ratio of 7:6 the transmission is 6:1. This means that with each rotation of the shaft, each chamber is pressure loaded and relieved six times, In this way, the transmission is achieved. The rotational motion of the gear is transmitted by means of a cardan shaft, which accepts the eccentric motion and transfers it to the driven shaft. The suction and return flow is controlled by a control device mounted on a control sleeve. The control sleeve is led by a pin from the driven shaft. The leakage-oil is retrieved by two check valves positioned in the housing of the motor.
There are two forms of stator; gerotor and geroller.
The motor range, namely MM and MP, has a gerotor. These types of motors are suitable for long operating periods at moderate pressures - or short operating periods at high pressures.
The MM range of motors are used in the following applications: conveyers, textile machines, mining machinery, machine tools, ventilators, as well as construction plant equipment and access platforms.
The MP range of motors are used in many of the same applications as the MM but can also be used in the following applications: feeding mechanisms of robots and manipulators, metal working machines, agricultural machines, grass cutting machines as well as machines for the food industry.
MR and MH are geroller type. The rollers reduce local stress and the tangential reaction forces on the rotor reduce friction to a minimum. This gives long operating life and better efficiency even at continuous high pressures. Roller gear sets are recommended for operation with thin oil and for applications having continually reversing loads.
Hydrostatic steering units
The operation of the HKUS steering unit is hydrostatic. This means that there is no mechanical connection between the steering column and the steered wheels. Instead there are hydraulic pipes and hoses between steering unit and steering cylinders. When the steering wheel is turned, the steering unit meters an oil volume proportional to the rate of rotation of the steering wheel. This volume of oil is directed to the appropriate side of the steering cylinder, while simultaneously the displaced oil is directed to tank.
The steering unit consists of a rotary valve and a rotary meter. Via a steering column the steering unit is connected to the steering wheel of the vehicle. When the steering wheel is turned, oil is directed from the steering system pump via the rotary valve and rotary meter to the cylinder ports left or right, depending on the direction of turn. The rotary meter meters the oil flow to the steering cylinder in proportion to the angular rotation of the steering wheel.
Reaction - With reaction steering units any external forces acting on the road wheels result in a corresponding movement of the steering wheel when the driver is not steering the vehicle.
Non-reaction - With non-reaction steering units there is no corresponding movement of the steering wheel when the driver is not steering the vehicle.
Open centre - Open centre steering units have an open connection between pump and tank in the neutral position. In open centre steering systems, pumps with fixed displacement are used.
Closed centre - Closed centre steering units are blocked on their P port in the neutral position. In closed centre steering systems, variable oil flow is required.
The company's HKUS units have built-in relief and check valves, therefore the HKUS is a very compact steering unit which reduces the need for additional hydraulic components in the system.
HKUS have many applications and can be used in building machines, forklifts trucks, harvesting machines, transport vehicles and agricultural machines.
Hydromobile and M & S Hydraulics are consistently involved in staff and customer training and will be holding a Hydraulic Motor and Hydrostatic Steering Unit seminar for their customers in due course.
