At the 2016 SAFPA AGM, vice president Walter Zimmerman gave a presentation to update members on the success being achieved in the SAFPA training initiative.

Manny Vieira (SMC Pneumatics) is president of the new committee and Eugene Tondolo (Axiom Hydraulics) is vice president. The other members are Willem Gijzelaar (Hytec), Hugo van Niekerk, Russell Gill (Engineering & Hydraulic Services), Michael Abbot (CT Hydraulics), Wessie van der Westhuizen (Pirtek), Anton van Greunen (Kutting SA) and Dustin Pereira (BMG).

Walter Zimmerman (Hydraulic Training & Consulting) retired from the committee after 34 years of service. He has been a council member and founder member from the inception of SAFPA in 1982. He was presented with a certificate recognising SAFPA’s appreciation of his outstanding contribution to the fluid power industry.
