Zest WEG Group Africa extends guarantees

1st Quarter 2016 News & events

Zest WEG Group Africa recently announced another gamechanger at a media briefing by group CEO, Louis Meiring. Such is the confidence and level of commitment of the company to its customer base that it has extended guarantees across all WEG products. This follows the large investments in local manufacturing facilities made in 2015 that will allow it to service countries across Africa. Zest WEG Group Africa was also the first equipment supplier to move from IE2 to IEC3 compliant motors. This change was introduced at no additional cost to its customers.

“Extending product guarantees is aligned with our strategy of forming long-term partnerships with customers. Continuous product improvement is ongoing and we are passing on the benefit. We are confident that all will meet the guarantees with ease,” says Meiring.

Extended guarantees include the following:

• W22 low voltage motors extended to five years.

• Variable speed drives and softstarters extended to two years. Where WEG motor and drive combinations are used, the WEG drives guarantee is extended to three years.

• Switchgear extended to three years.

• Transformer extended to three years.

Meiring says that the company will continue to bring innovative initiatives to market that will add value to customers’ operations. “Despite being part of a major global corporation, we have not lost our well-known flexibility and responsiveness,” he concludes.
