Decades of excellence in mobile and industrial hydraulic solutions

Third Quarter 2024 Hydraulic systems & components

For over four decades, Impro Fluidtek has been at the forefront of hydraulic solutions in mobile and industrial applications. The company draws on a wealth of experience gained over 46 years, and a commitment to innovation. This is borne out by four patents and the sale of over three million hydraulic orbital motors across three continents. Headquartered in Wuxi, China, Impro Fluidtek has built a reputation for delivering components and systems that excel in hydraulic motion and control applications.

Central to Impro Fluidtek’s success are its orbital motors, which have held a market-leading position for decades. These motors, renowned for their reliability, efficiency, durability and flexibility, are a core component of the company’s product portfolio. They have found application in diverse markets from agriculture and forestry, to industrial machinery and construction equipment. The motors are designed to meet and exceed the rigorous demands of these industries, providing solutions that enhance performance and longevity.

One of the standout products in Impro Fluidtek’s lineup is the Light Duty Motor WM Series. Featuring a spool valve design and enhanced rotor technology, this series is particularly suited to light-duty applications. Despite its compact size and low weight, the WM Series delivers high-speed performance, making it an ideal choice for mobile, industrial and agricultural markets. The built-in check valves that increase seal life, and the bolt-on mounting flange that simplifies serviceability, are just two of the many features that contribute to the motor’s superior performance. Whether powering conveyors, grain augers, or brush drives, the WM Series offers smooth operation across a wide speed and torque range, making it a versatile and reliable choice for many applications.

Another noteworthy product is the WD 145/146 Series. Like the WM Series, WD motors are designed for light-duty applications, but with an emphasis on high torque. The smaller outline of these motors does not compromise their efficiency; they deliver high performance across a broad range of applications, from food processing equipment to skid steer attachments. The integral check valves and the provision for a case drain reduce pressure on internal seals, improving product life.

Impro Fluidtek’s WP 155/156 Series offers an economical alternative to more complex roller gear set designs, while maintaining high efficiency. These motors are perfect for light-duty applications requiring high torque in a compact package. The WP Series is versatile, finding use in everything from agricultural equipment to machine tools. The built-in check valves and a variety of mounts and shafts provide flexibility in application design, while the standard high-pressure shaft seals offer superior seal life and performance.

The WR 255/256 Series has the latest light-duty motor design. These motors incorporate the latest advances in rotor technology, featuring optimised rotor geometry with seven precision rollers, that eliminate sliding friction and provide rolling contact between the rotor and stator. This design increases motor efficiency, making the WR Series an excellent choice for applications where smooth performance, efficiency, and durability are important. Whether used in light-duty wheel drives or food processing equipment, the WR motors are engineered to deliver outstanding performance in the most challenging conditions.

For applications where sideload is a concern, the WG 275/276 Series offers an exceptionally solid platform. These motors are designed to reduce friction and extend motor life, making them ideal for light-duty applications where reliability and durability are critical. With displacements ranging from 41 to 404 cm3 per revolution, and a variety of mounting, shaft and port options, the WG Series is a versatile solution that suits a wide range of applications.

Impro Fluidtek’s commitment to innovation and quality extends beyond its orbital motors. The company also offers the ABR Series range of hydraulic brakes. These brakes are closed, dry-type, spring-applied and hydraulically released, providing up to 1130 Nm holding torque for static brake applications. The ABR Series is designed for maximum durability, with critical components like roller bearings, springs, and seals chosen to ensure long service life. Whether used in aerial work platforms or conveyors, these brakes deliver smooth, quiet and robust performance.

Complementing the ABR Series brakes is the HRP Series release pump, a compact device designed to release pressure on various types of spring-applied hydraulically released brakes. With its reliable and stable operation, the HRP Series is the perfect companion to Impro Fluidtek’s hydraulic brakes, offering a comprehensive solution for braking systems in motion and drive applications.

In a world where technology is constantly evolving, Impro Fluidtek is committed to providing hydraulic solutions that meet the needs of today’s industries. From agricultural machinery to industrial equipment, its products enhance performance, increase efficiency and ensure durability. With a focus on innovation and quality, the company continues to set the standard in hydraulic motion and control applications.
