1st Quarter 2010Electrical switching & drive systems & components
Tectra Automation, sole distributor of Bosch Rexroth pneumatic products in southern Africa, has added the new IndraDrive Cs to its product offering. The drives feature newly developed multiple Ethernet communication with support for many standard Ethernet-based communication interfaces such as SERCOS III, PROFINET IO (RT), EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT. They also incorporate an innovative multiple motor feedback interface.
The new drive uses the same IndraWorks engineering tool as the IndraDrive servo drives and is designed for the power range 50 W to 3,5 kW, supplementing Rexroth’s extensive drive and control portfolio.
The complexity and diversity of variants that machine manufacturers have to offer in tailor-made customer solutions is reduced since the user or system integrator can now simply configure his choice of communication protocol on the drive rather than having to purchase and stock a different model.
The innovative multiple motor feedback interface of the IndraDrive Cs works with the most important motor feedback systems such as EnDat, Hiperface, simple TTL incremental motor feedback, sine-cosine motor feedback, resolvers and the serial motor feedback system of Rexroth’s ultra-compact MSM motors. Here too the user makes his selection easily by software.
The user-configurable Ethernet and motor feedback interfaces reduce the level of complexity at all points from design to procurement, stocking and service.
